The eagerly anticipated penultimate film of the Harry Potter collection by J.K. Rowling is finally here. And it doesn’t fail to please. The sixth year of Harry’s time at Hogwarts is as eventful and tragic as ever and much to the fan’s delight, there’s bounds of romance and teenage angst. There is the addition of a new teacher, Horace Slughorn and the discovery of a potions book which was originally owned by the mysterious Half-Blood Prince. In the margins lie suggestions which help improve Harry’s potion-making skill as well as some handy, although perilous, spells. Meanwhile he learns about Voldemort’s past in order to determine a way to defeat the Dark Lord. With Draco’s shady behaviour Harry believes he is involved in Voldemort’s deadly duties. Both Harry and Ron find love, leaving Hermione simmering in jealousy. Dumbledore is determined to train Harry for a final battle and Harry helps him uncover vital information which will threaten Voldemort’s defences. Great tragedy lies ahead, an emotional ending!
