Matt Damon is in Vancouver filming the science fiction thriller Elysium alongside Jodie Foster and Alice Braga. The crew wrapped up the third day on location Friday in Kerrisdale at Macdonald Street and Marine Drive where, although Damon and the crew took off at 8 p.m. Thursday, paparazzi were reported to have remained in the bushes with night vision cameras until midnight.

Pictures have been released in JustJared of Matt Damon film where an intense scene for his latest movie, Elysium, on Monday (August 8) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  Where tThe 40-year-old actor was dressed in jeans and a tee and had fake blood on his torso.

Little is known of the new movie ‘Elysium’ which is set to premiere next year. Although it has been pretty much kept under wraps, the first photos of Matt Damon (sans his glorious blond head of hair) in character were revealed. There doesn’t seem to be too much that can be inferred about the movie just by looking at the photos except that Matt Damon gets injured and is then outfitted with some cool futuristic StarTrek Borg type weaponry that resembles 1/2 human and 1/2 robot characteristics.

This project is very secretive and even the name of Damon’s character is not revealed.  What we do know is that the film is to take place in the future with the spreading threat of an alien colonization around the world and it centres on an ex-con Damon. The script was written by Neill Blomkamp (‘District 9’) who will also be directing the film.

Matt Damon while talking about this project has divulge what the fans can expect to see in this movie and this is what he said:  

“I’ve never done anything quite like this” he stated, “and I kind of responded to what’s out there and what’s in and what’s good. The movie is going to be good, he showed me basically the entire world which he’s going to build and it’s really, really exciting. And we can’t wait!”
