Last few weeks there have been good choices of Scifi in the cinema near you. In Super 8 we are witnessing a mysterious train crash; a group of friends in the summer of 1979 begin noticing strange happenings going around in their small town, and begin to investigate into the creepy phenomenon.
Green Lanern also opened where a test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe. Sadly It has had a dreadful reviews with RottenTomatoes giving it 26% and audience not much better at 58%. Having said that, "Green Lantern" must be considered purely a popcorn movie for 12-year-olds, who won't be disappointed.
