Last year I started ScifiWood with an original Ideas for to allow movie makers with little or no budget to be create projects/groups so to get together with other likeminded people and produce a Movie, Animation, Book or other Science related projects. However day job has been taxing and therefore I have not had a chance to take this further. However in 2012, I will be pushing this much more proactively and therefore, I plan to use Active Social Module to take the site to another level.
For example Robert Dastoli emailed me today about his new "Man in Space" style short film on YouTube. Robert recently directed a short film called "Keep Watching the Skies!" which is now on YouTube at the following link: www.youtube.com The short is based on the Tomorrowland episodes of the Disneyland TV series (specifically Man in Space), showcasing artistic projections and live action dramatizations of a flying saucer invasion. It's design comes entirely from the early space race and cold war period. The film has already played at a few sci-fi film festivals and because there is a very niche audience for this type of film. Robert has been trying to get the word out to anyone who would be interested.

This is exactly the kind of project that needs help and we at ScifiWood hope to be able to provide in 2012.

People of Earth attention! Will you be prepared when the invasion comes? Out of the saucer ship will come an evil force that seeks to replace our freedoms with a barbaric way of life. Is it fantastic imagination or terrifying truth of the future? This film will have you watching the skies!
