Audience members yearning to return to the exotically extraterrestrial locale of Pandora will have to wait for at least three more years, as James Cameron has confirmed that the first of his back-to-back Avatar sequels won’t arrive until Christmas of 2014.

An article is making its way around the net today, a letter written to Roger Ebert by an Oscar-winning editor and sound engineer, Walter Murch, decrying a fundamental flaw in 3D filmmaking that he assures us ruins the entire idea. The author David Coldeway thinks that Roger was off the mark in this assessment. And he goes on to dispel some of the information he’s spreading via Ebert’s blog.

Last Year, Google launched the Translate application for Android devices, able to allow translation of text for over 50 different languages, with the results delivered using the text-to-speech function of the phone. Now Google Translate brings us closer to the dream of a Star Trek-esque Universal Translator.
