I loved this article in Mashable by Amy-Mae with 7 Superb Short Films Shot with Cellphones. I am amazed at the quality of some of the work done by creative people using their cell phones and edited with low cost programmes like Adobe Premier, Element - The two that I really loved were the Space Balloon and the Commuter.

With 4 weeks of Easter vacation for my 5 Years old son Cameron, I think I need to think about a little Movie Project with him using perhaps a movie camera attached to his remote control truck.

Space Balloon - Stratosphere Spacecraft Launched From Newburgh, NY - where A father-son team from Park Slope decided NASA wasn't doing enough to document the stratosphere, and decided to take matters into their own hands. After testing their "19-inch helium filled weather balloon" in Brooklyn, Luke Geissbuhler and his son Max headed upstate and launched the device, complete with a camera. The two were able to track the device with GPS, and Columbia University Professor of Astronomy Marcel Aguera said the two were "very good but also very lucky. Unfortunately there were much cloud elsewhere but still very watchable.

This video must be giving lots of dads ideas and bring out the movie makers with their wonderful results to YouTube and Vimeo.

The other one that I really liked was this one shot by Nokia N8.  The groundbreaking film, directed by the McHenry Brothers, was shot in just four days with the Nokia N8 using no back up cameras, with the streets of London and St Albans providing the backdrop to Nokia’s story about one commuter’s eventful journey to work.
