It was only a couple of days ago when I talked about universal laws of physics may not be uniform across time and space. Now it seems that we don't have to travel too far and proof is only a few hundred miles in central Europe. The Physics shocker talked about in the last few hours is that Neutrinos are clocked faster than light itself.

Laws of physics may change across the universe and across time Laws of physics may change across the universe and across time

For years I have been meaning to finish my paper that I started to write some 30 years ago. But year on year I move further and further away from Physics bringing up children. However, finally there seems to be some new evidence supporting my thoughts then when I was studying physics at Uni. There is an idea that we live in an area of the universe that is "just right" for our existence. The controversial finding comes from an observation that one of the constants of nature appears to be different in different parts of the cosmos Today. My big question is what about in the past?

"Eyes on the Solar System" is a 3-D environment full of real NASA mission data. I have a 5 years old son and when I showed this to him - It was difficult to end the demo and it was well passed his bed time by the time he went to sleep. With this one can explore the cosmos from their computer. Hop on an asteroid. Fly with NASA's Voyager 2 spacecraft. See the entire solar system moving in real time. It's up to you. You control space and time.

Light from supernova of dying star 21m light years away may be visible with my Telescope tonight Light from supernova of dying star 21m light years away may be visible with my Telescope tonight

Tonight, I am going to look forward to watch with my little telescope an exploding star in a galaxy far from Earth should be visible from roof window soon after twilight this evening. Amateur astronomers around UK will be able to observe the flicker of light from its violent death throes through a good pair of binoculars or a telescope, if clear skies permitting. Earlier family had a good look at moon with around 400 magnification and it was crystal clear view. So I am hoping that I can locate the supernova in the next few hours.
